A few weeks ago I went to Urban Mining
with my
friend Shannon. Urban Mining is amazing and they have some pretty incredible stuff. A lot of the images in my soldering work are from old photos, stamps and postcards I procured there.
Anywhoo.
They had some fantastic necklaces. Shannon found one that was a bunch of pearls in the shape of a tie. Of course, the first thought I had was, "I wonder how hard that would be to make?". Well, I haven't the slightest clue (yet) how to do any sort of bead work. However, I can knit pretty well. Well enough to free hand a thing or two. And this is what I came up with. Tie One On and enjoy.
