I want money. Lots and lots of money....

A few posts ago I mentioned that I found some really neat stuff at Pappy's. It's a roadside antique shop and bakery. No, seriously. It is.
Well, they had a ton of really cool old money from all around the world. This  is what I picked up. Chinese money.
I think the man at the store told me that this money was printed  after 1942 but I'll have to double check that.
Unlike my other stuff this I can recreate exactly the same. I just think they are too cool.
What do you think?

The Key to Happiness

I found a few really neat keys at Urban Mining awhile back and just happened to stumble upon them the other day.
This is what I came up with.
The Key to Happiness.
I don't know if I mentioned this before (try every post)  but my stuff is generally one of a kind. So no other necklace will have this exact key.

Although, the glass charm can be duplicated. If you don't like the font, well, I can fix that. Also, say you don't like the black letters...I can fix that too.

Hey!
By the way....
I think the key to happiness is....
love.

I told you I was special....

Aren't these cool? Shannon and I found these at Urban Mining. If you can believe it they're old cip-ons. There are only two and they are already taken. But they are so awesome I had to show them off. I'm sure Shan and I will feel extra special knowing that we are the only two people in the world who have them.
Got any old jewlery you need re-vamped? I think I know someone who can help you....

Blingy Ringies

I've been really busy today. I decided to sit down and finally hammer out the awesome rings I've been thinking about for months. As some of you already know most of my jewlery is made from old earrings, usually antique clip-ons, and broaches. Because of this there are only one or  two of each. What this means, as I stated in my previous post, is that there are very few of each (only one or two, if you're paying attention).
Why does that matter? I thought you'd never ask, now let me explain. Have you ever been out and seen five different girls with the same shirt/shoes/jewlery on as you?  Well, I have and to be quite honest with you nothing annoys me more. I like to think that I'm one of kind. It reminds me of a TAM class I took in college. I had this sweet pink, houndstooth coat which I thought was amazing.
To make a long story short when I entered the class I saw about 15 other girls with  houndstooth coats on. I thought to myself, 'Wow. Nothing says induviduality more than  looking like everyone else.'
But, I digress.
The point is, with my rings you can be sure that when you accesorize your next outfit the odds of you seeing someone with the same ring on as you is highly unlikely.
Starting from the top: first ring (from left to right) One of a kind. Made from an old broach.$12
Pink and gold (1 of 2)- $10 ea.
Now the last one is a little different it's 1of 5 or 6. $7 ea.. This beauty is made from an old bracelet.

Wire rings:
Wooden rectangle double ring (1 of a kind) $10
Bling Ring (1 of 1) $10
Chunky Black (1 of 2) $7ea.

Top photo: Gold and blue ring (1 of 2) $10ea.

Ring-ding-dong. Ring-a-ding-ding-dong...Keep their heads ringing....

Just a few of my rings. Would you believe that these use to be pefectly good cilip-on earrings? It's true, which means I only have two of each. But limited editions make them more special. You want to feel special don't you?

The Ultimate Treasure Hunt

So my first experience at an auction was a total success. I got an awesome cigar box filled with treasures. I payed $3 and let me tell you, it was worth every penny.

The two necklaces on the right I already owned but the three to the left are auction finds. How cool is that? Totally cool.

Wait 'til you see what I got at Pappy's......

Breakast and Roadtrip

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Normallly I skip it. But Today I am leaving on a 24 hour trip with Mrs. Bell and her little Bells. So, it's imperative that I be well nourished on our long ride. We're off to Springfield to take the little Bells to stay with Nanny. Then, the real fun begins. We're going Antiquing at the little strange roadside shops on the way back and you know what that means.... more fabulous finds for jewelery and accesories. So excited!
