Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

I looove making things. I'm 97.5% sure everyone, or at least everyone I know, knows this.
My penchant for creating doesn't stop with jewelry, yarn, needles, hooks, etc. In fact, that's just the beginning of my craftiness. I also love to make natural alternatives to everyday necessities. Two of my favorites are "toothpaste" and mouth wash.
Would you like to know how I make them?

Excellent.
Toothpaste: (well, it's not a paste but I swear it gets my teeth soooo clean)
1 tsp. salt (Morton's or regular table salt)
2 tsps. Baking Soda
Mortar and pestle ( or a cutting board and rolling pin)
small container with lid
*ground 1 tsp. of salt with mortar and pestle or put the salt on the cutting board and use a rolling pin to crush it.
*place ground salt in container and add 2 tsps. of baking soda.
VoilĂ !
*To use take a pinch of the mixture and place into palm. Use a dampened toothbrush to soak it up and proceed to brush as normal.

Now, for my absolute favorite!!!
*cLove Mouthwash*
You will need:
1 tbsp. whole cloves ,
1 cup distilled water ( I use tap. Kansas City actually has some of the best tap water in the States. We're going to boil it anyway.),
Strainer,
Bottle with lid ( I use an old glass Michelob bottle, I think that's what it is, and an old cork. Preferably not a real cork . It doesn't hold up very well.)
*boil 1 c. water
*place 1 tbsp. of cloves in glass container
*once water boils, pour over cloves and let sit until cool
* place a strainer over a glass measuring cup ( or anything that has a pour spout) and strain out the cloves and discard.
*pour mouthwash into glass bottle and PUT A CORK IN IT!!!!!
